Financial education in the world

Figures from the OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development), in a survey of more than 150,000 adults in 148 countries in 2014, reflected that only 35% of people have knowledge about financial education. Norway, Denmark and Sweden were classified as countries where its citizens have greater financial education, and therefore a better quality of life.
It is very Important, at this point, show how the index of quality of life is directly proportional to the rate of financial education.

Japan is another example of the above said. In Japan, financial education is part of the education syllabus. In the United States, the government is making an effort to get the same, but still remain 33 states that do not include financial education in school syllabus.

In most of Latin American countries very poor figures about knowledge in this important area are reached. While some efforts have been made in Mexico, Brazil, Colombia and others, as far as we know in any country it has been included in the curriculum of regular studies. An essential for success in the medium and long term measure.

The problem is that governments in this regard, act reacting to the pressures of the moment: after the crisis of 2008 there was a great interest around the world, but to the extent that the crisis was forgotten, as happened with financial education programs. Meanwhile, private efforts are not very successful, because people are not very interested in paying and wasting your time on an issue as unattractive and apparently complicated. It's more fun to chase a Pokémon!

Financial literacy is the ability to understand all aspects related to money, the use of it and its better management, which will enable us to achieve a full life, and get what we're looking for: the much desired financial freedom! A state related to the economic well-being, where we do not have financial commitments that stress us, and where we are able to cover all our economic needs. The quality of life ... what a quality!

Financial education, like other knowledge, should be inculcated from an early age; in this way, will major be the fruits which it reports. Therefore we must begin to teach children from a young age, the money management, the value of it. When these children, who were active financial education at home or in his school grows up, they will be forming agents of change within their communities.

At present, there is a huge lack of knowledge about how banks work out, on how to develop a budget, and what saving really means. Financial education becomes like this on a philosophy by which important tools are obtained to develop a comprehensive plan of life.

If you are an adult and have not yet received any financial education, do not panic and do not be the worst thing that can be done in these cases: to turn away and flee, on the contrary, educate yourself financially. Money problems will follow you everywhere until you decide to start your financial education. All you have to do is devote time to the issue, instruct, read, take courses about personal finance. You'll soon understand its operation, which will result positively in your life and your family.

And something very important: to not be including financial education in school syllabus, such responsibility resides solely with the parents. It is they who must sow financial literacy in their children at the earliest age possible.
